Mission@STUST

    STUST is an academic society of teachers and students devoted to the nurturing of the whole person; cultivating students through the integration of science and technology, people and culture, and creative thinking with an international perspective to meet the complex challenges of our changing global community.

    Over the past 40 years, the board of directors together with tens of thousands of faculty and students has helped STUST to grow and develop into a leading university of technology in Taiwan.

    In order to achieve the status of an internationally recognized university of technology, we strive to be innovative, and pursue excellence in all academic and research areas. We aim to achieve this through the following policies:

Integrate local resources. Increase opportunities for industry-academia cooperation in order to promote regional development.
Recruit outstanding teachers to develop major technology and secure national funding.
Develop diversified learning curricula which emphasize both technological sciences and humanities.
Create international partnerships with overseas universities.
Construct and enhance teaching, learning, and research facilities.
Build a free and open educating system that focuses on the cultivation of the whole person.
Create a sound financial system while actively seeking external funding from the government and enterprises to support the development of our university.
Build a global alumni organization.
